Storyline : Sura is set in Yaazh Nagar, a fishermen's hamlet in coastal Tamil Nadu. Here Vijay (Sura) lives alongside Ambar La (Vadivelu). Together they form their lives as Sura grows up here with them both being friends. However, Sura eventually meets bubbly young Poornima (Tamannaah). Unable to cope with her pet dog's passing away, Poornima decides to end her own life; slowly drawn towards Sura due to his good deeds, they begin romancing one another. As things appear to go well, trouble arises with Samuthira Raja (Dev Gill), an ambitious yet corrupt Minister attempting to usurp their land for himself; Sura counterattacks his attempts by standing her ground defending their wealth against theft from outside sources - becoming embroiled in cross fighting each other for control of it all. The Minister devises a plot against Sura using his Ministerial post and authority, filing suit against him as well. Sura takes them on himself to finally undo all bad intent against his town fishermen he cares so much for and help them gain ownership over their houses as planned by Sura himself.
