Storyline, Amy Sumner, a screenwriter, and her husband David travel to Blackwater, Mississippi, Amy's hometown in their Jaguar. David wants to finish his Stalingrad script in Amy's house. Charlie, the contractor and his crew are hired to fix the roof of the barn. Charlie used to love Amy, but he now treats her with no respect. Charlie and his friends invite David along to go deer hunting with them, but instead they leave David in the woods alone and rape Amy. Amy doesn't inform David of this.
