Storyline : Srimanthudu, a simple but inspiring story, is the tale of an heir to a rich business family who has no interest in making money. He is influenced by his thoughts and circumstances to take on a small village, and help it grow despite all odds. The indifference and disinterest of his son (Mahesh Babu), a wealthy entrepreneur, is making him very worried. His son should inherit and carry on the massive business empire he has built during his life. The son refuses to accept it. He says he wants to gain respect before acquiring the business empire he built over his lifetime. He has other thoughts. They fall in love because they share similar thoughts. When she learns his true identity, however, she ignores him. She tells him he's too wealthy and doesn't even know where he was born when confronted. Later, it is revealed that she was the daughter of Dr Rajendra Prasad (a village chief who has a good heart). In fact, it is the exact same village. The hero returns to the village and takes it under his wing, constructing a road, a new school and so on. The hero is forced to fight a selfish minister of the union and his brother who terrorize and intimidate the village. The story revolves around how the hero persuades his father to embark on a challenging path.
